BIOGRAFÍA de ASSIA's BIOGRAPHY
ENGLISH :
Assia Radouane Cohendet is born marocan in Khouribga the 10th of Octobre 1968. Since her early youth she falled in passion with Raks al Charqi or Bellydance. She grew watching egyptian classics movies, where bellydancers stars from this time
-as Samia GAMAL, Tahia KARIOKA & over all Naïma 'AKIF- showed their performances on arabic world TV screens.
ASSIA arrived in France in 1995, after have lived in Morocco & Cameroon. It's in France that she developed her passion through a professional way, followed lessons & workshops, and danced for prestigious shows (in Switzerland & France). Later she teached her art during several years, in famous Dance Schools of Haute-Savoie (F-74).
For her, "the Raks al Charqi is an hymn to woman, to her skills and attributes : fecondity, sensuality, beauty, the harmony in the move and outfit, decency and mercy. It's an art wich acts on different levels like liberator : physically, mentally and emotionally. Its far origines and numerous cultural influences have done it a powerfull art, developing an advance and spectacular work on the body independance mastering, on move isolation. This path has always the target to enrich the expression of our feminine qualities".

Assia Radouane Cohendet nacio en Marruecco (Khouribga) el 10 de Octubre 1968. Despues pequeña sintió pasión por el Raks al Charqi o danza del vientre. Ella crecio mirando los filmes clasicos egipcios, donde las estrellas de la danza del vientre de esa época -tal como Samia GAMAL, Tahia KARIOKA y sobre todo Naïma 'AKIF- mostraban sus actuaciones en las pantallas de los televisores del mundo árabe.
Luego enseñó su arte durante varios años, en famosas escuolas de Baile por Haute-Savoie (F-74).
Para ella, "el Raks al Charqi es un himno a la mujer, a sus cualidades y atributos : fecundidad, sensualidad, belleza, armonia en el movimiento y su atavío, decencia y gracia. Es un arte que actua en varios niveles como liberador : físicamente, mentalmente y emocionalmente. Sus orígenes antiguos y numerosas influencias culturales lo han echo un arte muy poderoso, desarollando un trabajo moderno y espectacular de maestria de la independencia del cuerpo, de aislamiento del movimiento. Ese camino tiene siempre por objetivo enriquecer nuestras cualidades femininas".
